I have a very special location to me that has produced many astonishing results, its not Barn Owls in Norfolk or Cuckoos on Dartmoor but a roadside drain in Warwickshire!

In 2006 I first photographed a pair of juvenile Little Owls taking refuse in a drainage system.

Then in November 2007 I spotted a stoat appearing from the same drainage system although a very brief appearance I couldn’t believe what I was seeing :)

True to form I now have another species making a homeĀ  in the system, 3 years on and Rabbits are using the drains as a man made warren!

I’m guessing that the Rabbits have been using the drains for some years hence the reason why the stoat was there?

I did shoot some small sequences of video but it was difficult to predict when and where they would appear as there was 3 exit points for them but luckily there were 2 rabbits that would appear around every 15 minutes depending on traffic or pedestrians.

I’m guessing in few weeks when they have grown a little fatter that they’ll be to big to fit (now what does that remind me of?) !

:)

Thanks for looking.
