It’s my 1st HD Birthday

Ok so its a year since I purchased a HD DSLR, I’m currently putting together a montage of the past year and below is a sneak preview of the piece.

As barns and old buildings are been either demolished or renovated its leaving no nesting sites for owls, even swallows are having trouble building nest sites because most of us are using plastic guttering and fascia, I suppose its the way of things to come but we can help encourage and help the birds of the UK to survive.

Barn Owl

Over the last year I’ve been involved with putting boxes at various locations and they have been taken up by various species one ongoing project on Government land is proving to be a great success for little owls last year although they took up residence into a large deluxe Barn Owl box  they did extremely well with three chicks.

This clip recorded April 24th 2010 shows that the owl is now relaxed in its home and I’m hoping we have the same results this year!

A good friend and neighbour of mine Roland Leonard is now making Nest boxes and I wanted to plug them as they are excellent quality and value for money!

He’s currently got a few designs of owl boxes that can be made but he is happy to look at other designs should you require a besoke box.
