The start of November saw me planning for a national awards event for the Ministry of Justice which included aspects of Video and Photography,   traveling around various locations around the UK it usually  gives me an opportunity to take some wildlife or landscape shots whilst I’m away, its better than sitting in a hotel room.

The only problem was light and at this time of year you don’t get a lot of it, long exposures or early mornings are the only time I got to shoot.

Unless you’ve been in the celebrity jungle then you’d know that the weather  in UK has been very disappointing with strong winds and lots or rain.

Westward Ho! in Devon proved to be a opportunity for surfers taking advantage of the stormy seas,a place I’d not been since I was a teenager !

The town centre of Chatham, Kent is not known for its wealth of wildlife however I came across a group of foxes in broad daylight rummaging through the back yard of a Chinese restaurant !

I know a lot of people class them as pests but to me they are a wonderful animal and to catch up with them in a town centre was an excellent experience and a photo opp!.

Shortly after theses images were taken it was seen running with the remains of  crispy fried duck :)

Another location on route and a favourite of  mine is the Chilterns if you ever get a chance to visit the Chilterns head for a village of Watlington you’ll be amazed at the amount of Red Kites that are located there.

Between 1989 and 1994, kites from Spain were imported and released into the Chilterns by the RSPB and English Nature. Red kites started breeding in the Chilterns in 1992 and now there are over 300 breeding pairs in the area.

As of most of my photography I find that shooting from the car is a excellent way of getting closer to wildlife.

This shot of a Kestrel and vole was taken from my car window after I’d seen it pounce, you kinda feel sorry for the vole but its about time I shot a Kestrel with a better diet than worms !

More images will be available in the diary update and recent images flip viewer shortly, Thanks for the emails and continuing support!
